Magas/Agency Caucasus – Yunusbek Yevkurov, president of Ingushetia said that, DNA sapmles did not confirm Umarov’s death, leader of Caucasian Emirate. According to the Yevkurov’s statement, at the moment, there are about 50 members of armed underground goups in Ingushetia.
During a special operation in Sunzhen district of Ingushetia on 28 March, 17 resistance fighters were killed and 2 were captured. It was stated that, the possibility of Umarov being among the killed fighters is really high.
According to the Yevkurov’s statement, DNA tests on the samples taken from the bodies revealed that, Umarov was not among them.
“At the moment there are about 30 members of armed underground groups in the woods, and they are active and they might attack to the members of security forces, officials and public. There are about 20 members on the plain” said Yevkurov and added that except them there are about 20-30 rebel supporters. KU/ÖZ/CY
