Caucasian company of agriculture keeps growing

Cherkessk/Agency Caucasus – Yujnii, a Karachai-Cherkessia company of agriculture, is aiming even higher as it helps at the same time to meet almost one third of the general need in Moscow, capital of Russia, for vegetables.

Yujnii has received $50mn in aid over the past five years to modernize itself. It now is extending the area of its plantation. With an area of 12 hectares alredy added, the entire area for agriculture available to Yujnii had increased to 156 hectares. Authorities said that with this move ahead, Yujnii would get to be a North Caucasian successful company of agriculture with the largest area of agricultural land ever available across Europe.

Yujnii has a number of 3,000 employees. Huge investments over the last couple of years in the company helped to reduce the consumption of gas by 20 percent on the one hand, and to increase the output of vegetable products by 50 percent on the other. Yujnii’s policies on agricultural production make it popular with the Muscovite people. Yujnii does not use chemicals to destroy harmful insects in its lands of agriculture, for example; it rather uses a special species of butterflies that are bred in its specially designed biological labs to fight the insects.
