New Zealanders set to Caucasus for animal husbandry

Cherkessk/Agency Caucasus – The agricultural company Emerald Group takes steps to make investments in
North Caucasus

Emerald’s senior officials made their future plans of investment available in a written form for evaluation to Mustafa Batdiyev, President of Karachay-Cherkessia.

The company thinks of establishing four fully-equipped complexes to accommodate 150,000 sheep. The Emerald officials said in their statement that they decided to invest in Karachay-Cherkessia after a group of scientists conducted a series of tests as well as analyses both on the soil and the grass in the Urup region of the Republic. The company officials further said that animal husbandry on Caucasian soil would benefit them a lot financially.   

The company would establish an organization for the processing of meat under the supervision of professional workers from , which would hopefully help the local people train better in farm management. 

President Batdiyev also supported this idea of New Zealanders training the animal breeders of Karachay-Cherkessia.

Batdiyev will soon receive details from the company about the management of financial as well as technical sides to the project.
