Sahin Sancar was laid to rest

Istanbul – A funeral service was held on Saturday for Sahin Sancar, architect, who died in a fatal traffic accident at the age of 33 on October 19 in the Beykoz district of Istanbul.   Sancar was the son of Sener Sancar, a lovely and respectable person within the Caucasian society here in Turkey.

Sener Sancar was laid to rest at the Sahinkaya cemetery of Beykoz district after a funeral service was held for him on noon at the Mosque of Marmara University’s Theology Department.  
Sancar was a former member of the executive board of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP)’s branch of Istanbul. He was also coordinating an association for major municipalities of both Bosphorus and Marmara provinces.  His funeral was attended by his family, his relatives, Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek, Minister Ertugrul Gunay of Culture and Tourism, Mayor Kadir Topbas of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Chair Person Murat Yalcintas of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and deputies Mehmet Muezzinoglu, Abdulkadir Aksu and Mehmet Sekmen.
