Ossetians accuse Georgians of being provocative

Tshinval/Agency Caucasus – South Ossetian officials accused at a time of mounting tension over trouble between Georgia and Ossetia their counterparts in Georgia of letting Special Forces located in Georgian villages of the conflict zone train the youths here in orchestrating various forms of ambushes.

Officials of South Ossetia’s Interior Ministry said in a statement that Georgian forces established special camps of training in Georgian villages that are not under the control of Georgian administration. “Intelligence service agents said that Special Forces that had come from Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, were training the youths Georgians in Priski, Tamarasheni and Avneski, where there is a temporary breach of control. Much of the training is based on development of skills necessary to take control of cars, buildings and checkpoints,” the statement said.

The Ossetians also argued that there were additional Special Forces located at the checkpoints in the zone of conflict.

The administration of Georgia is expecting to provoke military riots in South Georgia, just as it did so in Abkhazia in September and October last year.
