Tbilisi – Although the Georgian army has placed some of its troops as well as military equipments along its borders both with the Kodor region of Abkhazia and with South Ossetia, the administration of Georgia said that Georgia would not launch an attack.
Georgia intended to attack neither Abkhazia nor South Ossetia, said David Kezerashvili, Georgian Minister of Defense. "We won’t attack any regions." All Georgian troops were currently located in their own bases, said Kezerashvili, and argued that they did not take on a mission to go to a military operation at all.
The Georgian minister of defense also put the number of Georgian troops at thirty-two thousand, while the military budget of Georgia approximated $800mn.
