Istanbul/Agency Caucasus – ‘50-60 suicide bombers are ready to blow up Moscow and other cities of Russia’ Dokka Umarov said.
In a video record intended for the citizens of Russian Federation, the leader of ‘Caucasian Emirate’ Dokka Umarov said that ‘the suicide attacks in Moscow and other cities of Russia were carried out under the control of a group named ‘Riyazus–Salihin’ and there are 50-60 men ready to continue carrying out these actions.’ In the video next to Dokka Umarov amir Hamza, known as the trainer of suicide bombers, and Seifullah, who is apparently selected for a suicide attack, which will be carried out soon, can be seen.
The video message was published on Kavkaz Center on 4 February. It doesn’t provide any information about the date of record or the target of the planned suicide attack. However Umarov clearly states that, the suicide attacks were carried out by the North Caucasian resistance fighters, who are tied to the Emirate. In his message to the citizens of Russian Federation, Umarov called them not to blame Muslims because of the attacks that were and will be carried out and said that ‘Russian administration is responsible for the deaths and attacks.’ According to Umarov the reason of these attacks are ‘the repressions and persecutions against Muslims in Caucasia and racist attacks against Caucasians in big cities of Russia.’
In 2010 in Moscow and North Caucasus there were 22 terrorist attacks. In these attacks 108 people died and 652 people were wounded. 16 of these attacks were carried out by suicide bombers. 15 attacks were carried out in North Caucasian Federal District and one was carried out by two suicide bombers at a subway station in Moscow. Dokka Umarov claimed responsibility for the Moscow subway bombing, in which 40 people died and more than 130 people were wounded.
No one claimed responsibility for an attack yet, which was carried out by a suicide bomber at the airport of Domodedova on 24 January 2011 and left 36 people dead and approximately 130 people wounded. KU/ÖZ/CY
