Businessmen gather in Makhachkhala

Makhachkhala/Agency Caucasus – Businessmen gathered on December 18 in Makhachkhala, capital of the Republic of Dagestan, to hear a series of debates about problems that face entrepreneurs.

Representatives from 800 small- and medium-sized companies joined the debates.

Discussions were focused on three major areas of concern: the lack of manufacture and commerce, denial of the right for small-sized companies to get loans from banks, and the threat of controlling mechanism being much too rigid to keep entrepreneurs happy.

Emme Emeyev, an entrepreneur, said that the majority of people who live republics within the Russian Federation maintained a negative attitude towards Caucasian businessmen, a point which eventually dissuades them from signing a contract to support the Caucasian entrepreneurs. "When I submitted my papers to the VTB Moscow Bank to support me for a project of mine, the Bank first agreed to lend me money," said Emeyev. "However, as soon as it became evident to the Bank that my company is based in Dagestan, I was denied the permission to get bank loans."

Entrepreneurs also complained about the unavailability of aid service for small businesses.
