Adygei to set off for improved ties with citizens

Maikop/Agency Caucasus – The Adygei government arranges for a state-sponsored programme to start in 2009 with which it hopes to achieve improved and intensified ties with the citizens.

The Adygei Committee of National Affairs has arranged the programme in a way so as to cover the years between 2009 and 2011.  

The amount of money that is needed to set the programme off is 3 175 000 rubles.   

It won unanimous approval from the Adygei Parliament on November 21. "The programme is designed in line with orders from the Russian government," said Vyacheslav Jachemuk, who heads the Committee. "Government support for the citizens tops the list of priorities that the Russian government deems integral to its foreign policy as well as to its foreign financial strategies."  

The bulk of the money will go to organizing cultural events, according Jachemuk. The programme will include social events that involve sports, exhibition of arts and festivals. State-sponsored Adygei artists will be advertised through a series of films. Educational as well as literary books will be published for the children of Adygei people who live abroad to buy. And students will be encouraged to participate in exchange programmes.
