Nalchik/Vladikavkaz-(Agency Caucasus) – The Russian administration commissions one border police station after another as part of its plans to garrison the whole of North Caucasus.
A new military post, called Buron, was inaugurated on Sunday in the Alagir valley of North Ossetia in a series of such five stations since 2003. Over 200 troops would be deployed in the four-building Buron military camp, according to Sergei Dorofeyev, the FSB Chief Officer in North Ossetia. The next few days are expected to see inauguration of three more border posts within the boundaries of the republic.
The Terskol border post, built on the border of Kabardino-Balkaria to Georgia, and the FSB building of management and control in Kabardino-Balkaria were commissioned today. With the commissioning of those two military posts, the Kabardino-Balkaria borders have now a total of such five posts.
The seventh border post of Ingushetia, called Shon, was commissioned on Tuesday. The building contains separate rooms where the troops’ families can be accommadated. RİAN/ÖZ/F
