Nalchik/Agency Caucasus – The Koran appeared in Kabardino-Balkaria in all the three languages of Arabic, Russian and Adygei.
The Koran appears in three different languages for the first time in the country. While Yelgar Kashif, a Kabard-Balkar author, translated the Koran from Arabic into Adygei, Porohova Valeriya did its Russian translation.
Both the original version and the two other translations of the Koran appeared as publications by the Kotliarovka Mariya and Viktor Publishing House with the financial help from Jile Viktor, a businessman of the Kabard-Balkar origin who lives in Moscow. Ten thousand copies of all these three versions of the Koran were made publicly available for free. ADGPSL/ÖZ/FT
