Senior security official wounded in Sukhum attack

Sukhum/Agency Caucasus – Eduard Emin-Zade, department head of the State Security Service of Abkhazia, and his driver were wounded in an attack in the capital city Sukhum on Saturday when unidentified men opened fire to their car close to the railway station of the city.


Mr. Emin-Zade and his driver were hospitalized. The perpetrators remain unidentified. The police have immediately launched an investigation, said Nugzar Samsoniya, Deputy Head of the State Security Service.
