Poor students from Karachay-Cherkessia to study medicine in Russia

– Poor students from Karachay-Cherkessia will be assisted financially in studying medicine in Russian universities.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development of the will provide financial support for 60 poor students from Karachay-Cherkessia to study medicine in seven different Russian universities.   


The students could attend the programs of medicine available in Astrakhan, Krasnodar, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Tumen, Stavropol and Petigorsk.  

 

The students from Karachay-Cherkessia will be able to study medicine in Russian universities for free on the condition that they agree to work for a period of five years in the hospitals of their home country after they finish their studies.  


The administration agreed last year to assist financially over 400 students from Karachay-Cherkessia to study in 75 different universities; however, the number of applications for some branches of study far exceeded the capacity of admission. KU/ÖZ/FT
