Nalchik/Agency Caucasus – Parliamentary of Kabardino-Balkaria preparing a regulation, which will also convict rebels’ families, as a part of anti-terror campaign.
Experts underline that, the resolution is against the right of not testifying against family members, which is maintained in the constitution. Parliamentary yesterday suggested making a change, which will bring legal punishments for people who do not inform against severe crimes. It is stated that the regulation will be sent to Duma soon. However, experts indicate that the possibility of approval of regulation is very low.
It is not the first time that unusual methods were suggested in anti-terror campaign in Kabardino-Balkaria. Earlier a suggestion about holding responsible families for their relatives who are accused of being members of illegal groups, were made by some officials.
