Tbilisi/Agency Caucasus – Paata Davitaya, who is the leader of ‘We Ourselves,’ one of Georgia’s united opposition parties, called on the Georgian administration to sue Abkhazia.
Davitaya pressed for a legal action against Abkhazia for arguing that Georgia had intended to act provocatively in Kodor. In denial of Abkhazia’s argument, Davitaya presented his own counter-arguments. Davitaya said that in fact Abkhazia would act provocatively towards Georgia after Kosovo announced its independence on February 17.
Ruslan Kishmaria, a Special Representative in Gal of Abkhazi’s President, spoke in response to Davitaya’s call for legal action against Abkhazia. In denial of Davitaya’s words about Abkhazia, Kishmariya said that the legal action should in fact be brought against Georgia for its persistence in using military force over years since it first launched a bloody war against Abkhazia to resolve its problems with Abkhazia.
