Adygea highly rated for its maintenance of ecological balance

Adygea comes second on the list of the ten

countries that maintain the best level of ecological balance, according to the International Socio-Ecological Union and the Agency for Ecological Rating.


In Moscow, capital of Adygea, the list of the ten ecologically best countries were announced in a conference, titled “The Objective Ecological Ratings of Russian Provinces.” 
 

The environmental situation of a particular region was assessed according to the following criteria:

         The level of water and air pollution that exists in the region,

         The regional structure of the ecosystem,

         The business volume that is available in the region,

         The management of public opinion about the environment

         And the level of public awareness of the environmental issues.  

The other ecologically best nine countries include Novgorod, Kamchatia, Irkutsk , Magadan, Sahalin, Amur, Tuva, Buryatiya and Habarovsk.

Aslan Tkhakushinov, President of the Republic of Adygea , made an evaluation of the ratings and vowed that the perfect climatic conditions of his country would be growingly attractive in the years to come: “Our mission is to protect the natural diversity of Adygea and to use it more effectively.” CT/ÖZ/FT
