Sukhum/Agency Caucasus – The Abkhazian Journalists’ Association will organize a competition in literature to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the war between Georgian and Abkhazia, which ended with the victory of Abkhazia in 1993.
Best pieces of writing about the victory as well as the commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the war will be awarded after January 1, 2008. All journalists who work either for a private or state media company will have the chance to join the competition. The first best journalist will be awarded 10,000 rubles, the second best one 8,000 rubles and each of the three third best journalists 6,000 rubles. APSNPRS/ÖZ/FT
