Sukhum/Agency Caucasus – Abkhazia, a country that has begun to strive for its international recognition, will have a markedly beautiful celebration of the 15th anniversary of its triumph over Georgia.
Works of preparation for the celebration contain mainly the reparation of buildings either bombed, or fired at, or demolished at war.

Bagapsh called on members of the committee to do their best to have the celebration as perfectly as possible. The celebration would host many guests, said Bagapsh, and warned that the celebration should not be turned into a kind of unnecessary demonstration. "All celebration activities should be carried out properly. We need to reach all relatives of those who either died or survived the war. We also ought not to forget the volunteers who helped the Abkhazians at war time."
Bagapsh also called on the officials to have tidier and cleaner streets, beach, the Park of Honor, the graves where the warriors are buried until September, when the celebration will be held. He also said that he would ask the parliament to create a medal of jubilee. Additionally, he called on the Abkhazian businessmen and entrepreneurs to actively participate in the works of preparation for the celebration. ÖZ/FT
