London/Agency Caucasus – Prime Minister Ahmed Zakayev of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria appointed new members of senior officials after he was given the parliamentary go-ahead to construct the body of his cabinet and administration.
According to a cabinet statement released on Sunday, Zakayev appointed the following names to their new posts:
– R. Zelimhov as Minister of Education, Science and Culture
– A. Mashadov as President of State Department for Archive
– E. Sheripov as President of Culture Department
– A. Malsagov as State Secretary of National Policies
– R. Tahayer as Sports Department
– T. Minkailov as Chief Assistant to Minister of Press, Information and Communications
– M. Malsagov as President of the State Committee of Television and Radio
