Putin gets blamed for killing of Babayev

Makhachkala – Ferid Babayev, who had been set to run as a Yabloko member from
Dagestan
for the December 2 Duma elections, died at hospital after he was shot and hospitalized.

Babayev died on Saturday–four days after he had been hospitalized on Wednesday. The Yabloko leader Grigori Yavlinski accused ‘s President Vladimir Putin of the killing of Babayev: "Babayev has fallen victim to the authoritarian regime of Putin, who destroys even physically his opponents."

Lavlinski argued that Babayev was killed due to his human rights work across Dagestan . (Agency Caucasus )
