Moscow/Agency Caucasus – Eduard Kokoity, President of South Ossetia, has removed from power the South Ossetian government that he accused of remaining idle during the warfare.
Kokoity announced a state of emergency on August 17 after he annulled the government. Kokoity’s critical decision came after his accusation that the ministers did not work hard enough to beat the crises of the war such as delays in delivering as well as in distributing human aid effectively.
An emergency committee would be set up to eliminate the trace of the Georgian incursion, said Kokoity. “The paralysed state of the government and the poor quality of public services force me to take very important decisions,” he said.
