Kabardino-Balkari’s intellectuals stand behind Abreg

Nalchik/Agency Caucasus – The intellectuals of Kabardino-Balkaria voiced verbal anger at dismissal of Almir Abreg, a famous intellectual of Adygea, from his post as Manager of the National Museum after his term of service expired.

An intellectual group of 15 authors, scientists and artists telegraphed Aslan Thakushinov, President of Adygea, to reconsider the senseless decision on Almir Abreg’s dismissal from his position and to re-appoint Almir Abreg as Manager of the National Museum.  

The group said in their telegraph to Thakushinov that the Kabardino-Balkaria circles of arts and science could not find any meaning to the official decision not to extend Almir Abreg’s contract even though he was a well-known person with his works and studies across Adygea. Abreg was the best at museology not only across North Caucasus but also across Russia, it also said in the telegraph.
