Sukhum/Agency Caucasus – A new atlas that has in it both physical and geographical maps of Abkhazia is now available.
The atlas was published by the Cartography and General Geography Department of the Abkhazian Department. It is the first step towards making a detailed map of Abkhazia available. The atlas contains a total of 70 maps, some of which are physical and some are georaphical. The maps have notes by Levard Bartsis, Head of the Abkhazian Department of Geography. A map of this kind is important to have because it delimits the boundaries of Abkhazia as a country of the nort-western Caucasus. KU/ÖZ/FT
