14 million rubles allocated for anti-terror campaign in KB

Nalchik/Agency Caucasus – Government of republic of Kabardino-Balkaria completed project ‘Prevention of terror and extremism through 2001-2014’. It is foreseen that from the republic’s budget 14,8 million rubles will be allocated to achieve the project.

 

According to the statement made from Kabardino-Balkaria Presidency and Government’s Press Office, project contains measures, which will be taken to fight against terror and to prevent extremism. Within the project, it is planned to spread social tolerance and compromise and to boost communications between ethnical and religious groups.

 

According to the information given by Prime Minister of Kabardino-Balkaria Aleksandr Merkulov, annual results will be presented to check efficiency of the project. Merkulov stated that extra precautions were taken to provide security, camera system were installed within the safe city program and new check points were set up in the settlements.

 

“Terrorism is a big danger not only for us, but also for Russia and the whole world. It is getting harder to avoid that danger day after day, so society and administration need to join their forces” said Merkulov.
