Mashr blames intelligence service for kidnappings

Magas/Agency Caucasus – Mashr, a human rights organization of Ingushetia, blamed intelligence services for kidnappings—something that threatens the country with a radical transformation that happened in Chechnya.

The Regional Operation Headquarters, located in the Hankale district of the capital city of Chechnya, are to blame for all that has happened, according to Magomed Mutsolgov, President of Mashr.

“There are times that intelligence service agents are kidnapping people in the luggage sections of cars. And it is the same kind of cars that are used in almost all kidnappings. Even the kind of people, called resisters, do not have such a kind of technological stuff to do so,” the Delo newspaper quoted Mutsolgov as saying.

Mutsolgov also said that it is only possible with permission from the Regional Operation Headquarters to pass through both federal and regional checkpoints on the roads of Ingushetia. “The Regional Operation Headquarters are located in Hankale. It is presided by Arkadi Yedilev, Deputy Interior Minister of Russian Federation. Most of the kidnapped were either taken to Hankale or to North Ossetia. And what’s more tragic is the fact that most of them were killed.” ÖZ/FT
