– Nine hunters were shot down after they went out hunting in a forest of Kabardino-Balkaria.

The dead bodies of the nine hunters, of which the five were of Kabardino origin while the rest was Russian, were found with their hands bound together on Sunday somewhere in a forest region near the Lechinkai village of Cheghem province.

Both FSB and police officers said that the hunters were shot in their necks.

While tracing down an UAZ vehicle left in the forest, the police found the dead bodies at another UAZ vehicle left elsewhere in the forest. Ranging from 50 to 70 in age, the hunters came from Nalchik , Nijni Cheghem and Hasaniya. Whereas the police tend to blame the murder on resisters, it still remains a mystery who exactly killed the hunters.
